Rose Garden Ceremony—Laredo Medical Center

Laredo Medical Center has hosted an annual Rose Garden Ceremony for the past six years during April, in observance of “National Donate Life Month.” During this annual ceremony a blessing of the garden takes place to honor those Donors and their families for giving the greatest gift, a second chance at life through donation.

The Dioceses of Laredo has also supported this event and has always sent a representative to do the annual blessing. In years past, The Honorable Bishop James Tamayo has attended, as well as Monsignor Harris.

The hospital’s goal is to honor and remember Donors and their families each year and to designate an area within the hospital grounds and offer a place to reflect.
