We invite you to join the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance's (TOSA's) public education team as a representative of the Donor Family Ambassador Program in your own community.

The Donor Family Ambassador Program offers donor family members an opportunity to share their donation experience and contribute to community outreach efforts. By sharing your special story, you have the power to inspire others to save lives in South and Central Texas by encouraging others to sign up and become a registered donor.

Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to share the importance of organ and tissue donation in your local community. Our volunteers are vital to this mission. They help us promote and educate the communities about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

Public Awareness Presentations

Speak about the value of organ and tissue donation at churches, work, schools and public events.

Health Fair Tabling

Distribute literature and answer questions about TOSA’s lifesaving mission at community or workplace events.

Administrative Support

Provide important assistance in preparing special mailings throughout the year.

Requirements

To be a Donor Family Ambassador, you must be:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to volunteer 40 hours per year
  • Comfortable interacting with the public
  • Dependable
  • Friendly
